The officials for the fourth term were elected at a general body meeting of IPC Eastern Region at the IPC auditorium in Jamaica, New York, on December 4, 1999. The following were elected for the term: Pastors K. V. Kurian as president, Philip Philip as vice president, Sunny Philip as secretary, and Brothers Kunjumon Samuel as treasurer, Joy Thumpamon as joint secretary, and Mathai Mathew as Sunday School director. One representative from each participating church constituted the council. Pastor Sunny Philip (ministers) and Brother Kunjumon Samuel (believers) represented the Region at the IPC General Council.

The Womenís Fellowship and PYPA had separate general bodies to elect their officials. Officials elected for PYPA were: Bro. P. C. Jacob (president), Bro. Oommen Ebenezer (vice president), Pastor Babu P. Thomas (secretary), Pastor T.J. Varghese (joint secretary) and Bro. William Philip (treasurer). Sisters Susan Mathew, Layamma Samuel, Marykutty Alexander and Jolly Philip served as the president, vice president, secretary and treasurer, respectively, of the Womenís Fellowship.

At the beginning of each year, a council meeting was held to create a program calendar for the year. The programs began with a fasting and prayer meeting. Quarterly fellowship meetings, Sunday school seminar, Pastorsí conference and an annual convention were the main activities. During this term, fellowship meetings were held in New Jersey and Philadelphia as well.

The annual conventions were a great success. In 2000, Pastors Alec Rowlands, Philip P. Thomas and George Oommen were the guest speakers. Rev. Toby Montgomery and Rev. Dr. Ezhamkulam Samkutty were the speakers in 2001. Dr. Thomson K. Mathew, Pastors K. M. Joseph and Philip P. Thomas addressed the convention in 2002.

Sadly, during this term, several of our senior pastors went to their eternal rest. Pastors E. J. Oommen (Carmel Pentecostal Church), John C. Daniel (New York Pentecostal Church) and K.V. Kurian (India Pentecostal Assembly), who was the termís Region president, were called to glory.

We are happy to report that nine new churches joined the region during this term: Hebron Gospel Assembly (Pastor John Thomas), Hebron International Pentecostal Church (Pastor Kurian Mathews), Immanuel Christian Fellowship (Pastor Jacob Cherian), India Pentecostal Church of N.J. (Rev. Dr. George Mathew), IPC Hebron Philadelphia (Pastor Varghese John), International Christian Assembly (Pastor Samuel Kutty), Living Water Pentecostal Church (Pastor George K. George), NY Pentecostal Assembly (Rev. Dr. Itty Abraham) and Zion IPC Philadelphia (Pastor M.M. Varghese).

The region had 33 member churches at the end of 2002. Also, during this term, more than $20,000 was donated for various gospel works in India.
