INDIAN PENTECOSTAL CHURCH OF GOD

“Hebron” Philadelphia Inc.

Indian Pentecostal Church of God “Hebron” Philadelphia Inc. was established in 2000 in Philadelphia.               The congregation comprises Malayalam and Hindi speakers and services in both languages have been a blessing to our Malayalee and Hindi believers.

After completing his Bible school training, Pastor Varughese John began doing the Lord’s work in Kerala, Rajasthan and Assam for 22 years. In 1995 he arrived in Columbus, Ohio, where he continued to work for the Lord. Afterward he moved to New York and then in 2000 moved to Philadelphia sensing God’s divine purposes. It was there that he formed the “Hebron” church that is affiliated with the Indian Pentecostal Church of God.

Since Pastor Varughese John, who is president of the church, continues to be involved in ministries in India, the church has appointed Pastor  K.J. Mathew as associate pastor. Pastor Mathew has attended Bible school and also has worked in the Assam area. Also ministering with the church is Pastor Abraham Samuel, who is vice president. The pastor’s term generally is for three years.

As a church we stand for the doctrine of holiness and consecration as shown to us by our forefathers in the Holy Bible.  We hold Sunday school classes, cottage meetings, fasting and prayer services in addition to our Sunday services, one in Hindi and another in Malayalam.
